How to select a Sewage treatment plant vendor in just 7 simple steps

 

The worst fear for anyone constructing a sewage treatment plant is selecting a vendor. Many companies are providing solutions with different technologies like MBBR, SBR, FBR. At the same time, nowadays, with lots of information available on the internet, it is more confusing than providing a straightforward solution. So in this video, I will give 7 simple steps to select a company to give you the best solution.

1st Step: Select a company that is strong on the biological process.

 

Select a company that provides a solution based on treating sewage using a bacterial process rather than on mechanical and membrane filtration. It is crucial as it can help you save lots of hassle and money. As sewage contains primarily biologically degradable particles, it is possible to digest the suspended particles completely using micro-organisms. The tenants can use the water for flushing, gardening and borewell regeneration. Membrane filtration is required when the treated water is for drinking, cooking and bathing purposes.

2nd Step: What is the technology/ process used?

 

Once you have selected the company, then choosing an appropriate technology/process is the next step. Whatever the technology might be from our experience, the process that runs on Aeration or Aerobic rather than the Anaerobic method performs better. In that, check whether the attached growth process for bacterial growth as it robust and reliable.

3rd Step: Number of equipment used in the process

After ensuring that the process involves aeration and attached growth process, check the number of equipment used. Too much equipment does not guarantee that the performance of the plant or process. Sometimes it increases the burden of maintaining the plant as equipment requires continuous maintenance and repair, which may sometimes affect even the plant’s essential requirement. That is to run the plant.

4th Step: Design of the plant

 

The primary goal of the sewage treatment plant is to remove or bring the parameters like BOD, COD, Nitrogen, PH to the desired level. The plant should treat or remove these suspended in different stages of the treatment plant. You will not get the desired result or meet pollution control board norms if any steps/stages are skipped or not followed.

 

5th Step: Dimensions of the plant

 

The bacterial process requires some essential time to digest the suspended particles; it is vital to give enough retention time for the micro-organisms to do the procedure. If the plant does not have enough retention for the bacterial process to happen, the plant performance is affected and to set right the plant is also tricky. That is why most plants try to use methods like filtration for some of the process that uses the biological process itself.

 

6th Step: Visiting the plant

 

The most critical step you should not miss. Even if you cannot follow the previous steps, visiting the plant where the company has previously installed it is essential. There is nothing like seeing and experiencing the plant, as you can get to know both the benefits and drawbacks of the plant.

 

7th Step: Call and speak to clients.

 

It is always better to visit the plant; otherwise, calling a minimum of randomly selected three clients will also help you choose the company.

 

If you follow these simple 7 steps, your Sewage treatment plant will never have a problem. It is not just facing problems, also the hassle that you have to face after investing a considerable sum of money. Apart from that, you can be self-sufficient in water.
